Who we are
Mikan Days is provided by Shojum, LLC (“Shojum,” “we,” or “us”). This policy describes how the Mikan Days iPhone app handles information and what happens if you contact our support team.
Information in the app
Mikan Days calculates dates on your device. Information you choose to save includes:
- Calculation history, including selected dates and calculation results.
- Milestones, including the names and dates you enter.
- Preferences, such as enabled calculation modes and year-progress appearance.
This information is stored locally. The app does not send your dates, saved entries, preferences, or usage activity to Shojum. There is no account system, app-operated cloud synchronization, advertising, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting service.
Widgets and device backups
The app and its widgets use a shared storage area on your device so widgets can display saved calculations and your selected year-progress appearance. This is local sharing between components of Mikan Days, not sharing with another company.
Depending on your Apple and device settings, local app data may be included in device backups. Apple manages those backups under its own policies and your chosen settings. Shojum does not operate or have access to your backup account.
If you contact support
If you email support@shojum.com, we receive your email address, the content of your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and resolve your request. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is not needed for support.
Our email service providers process correspondence to deliver and manage support messages. We do not sell support information or use it for advertising. We may disclose information when required by law.
Keeping and deleting information
Saved app information remains locally until you delete the relevant entries or remove the app’s data. You can delete calculations in History and saved milestones in Milestones. Any backup copies remain subject to your Apple backup settings and retention.
We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to resolve your request, maintain necessary support records, or meet legal obligations. You can email us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information in support correspondence. Shojum cannot access or remotely delete the app information stored on your device.
Permissions, tracking, and this page
The app does not access your contacts, precise location, photo library, or system calendar. Selecting a date within Mikan Days does not grant access to your calendar events.
This standalone page does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or remote fonts. Dates entered in its web preview are calculated in your browser, kept only for the current page session, and are not sent to Shojum or saved by this page.
Apple may separately process App Store transactions or device diagnostics according to its policies and your settings. That processing is controlled by Apple.
Children and privacy
The app does not require personal information or an account. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Shojum through support, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, we will update this policy and its revision date. We will provide any additional notice or consent required by applicable law before introducing a change that requires it.
