Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Mikan Clock, an app made by Shojum, LLC ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use it on your Apple devices.

The short version: Mikan Clock does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

What We Collect

Nothing. Mikan Clock has no sign-in, includes no analytics or advertising code, and makes no network requests of its own. We never receive your settings, the faces you use, or anything else about how you use the app.

What Stays on Your Device

To remember how you like your clock, Mikan Clock keeps a few things in its own storage on your device:

• Your preferences, such as 24-hour time, seconds, date, display, and sound settings
• The faces you pick, your My faces selection, and the customizations you make to each face
• Your World Dial home zone and cities, saved as the time zones you choose from a list — never your location

This information stays on your device and never reaches us. It is included in your device backups if you have them turned on, under Apple's terms. Deleting the app deletes it.

Device Features

Some faces use features of your device. The readings are used on the spot to draw the face and are never recorded or sent anywhere:

• Battery level and charging state — shown on faces that support it, when Show battery is on
• Motion sensors — the Tilt face reads which way is down to move its bubble
• Keep screen awake — stops the display sleeping while the app is open, only if you turn it on
• Sound and haptics — ticks, chimes, and taps are played on your device

Mikan Clock does not ask for access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or photos.

Sharing

When you use Share the active face, Mikan Clock makes a picture of the face and hands it to your device's share sheet. It goes only where you choose to send it.

Links in the app, such as this page or Shojum on X, open in your browser, where that website's own privacy policy applies.

Apple and the App Store

Downloads, purchases, and updates are handled by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may send us aggregated crash reports and usage statistics that do not identify you. We use them only to find and fix problems.

Children

Mikan Clock is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

Changes to This Policy

If Mikan Clock ever needs to collect information, we will update this page before that version is released and change the date at the top. We do not have your email address, so that date is how you will know.
