A table can hold
a small instrument.

The status page has hundreds of endpoint rows to scan, so a conventional chart would spend too much horizontal and vertical space. Thirty equal bars preserve the recent sequence as a texture. The rate at the row edge answers the summary question; the strip answers whether that number was steady, isolated, or part of a wider failure.

The motion is functional. Scaling one segment by a quarter makes a six-pixel target locatable without breaking the line, while the tooltip attaches an exact time and value only when asked. Amber matters here because it keeps partial degradation distinct from both success and outage; mixed red and green histories explain recovery more honestly than one aggregate.

The strip compresses thirty readings into less space than a sparkline, then gives one slice just enough scale and annotation to become inspectable. Green, amber, and red carry actual thresholds; the motion does not merely decorate the table.
